The Baby is not a baby anymore. My littlest guy is now a big six year old. I'm kind of wrecked by this. The little years are officially over in the Davis house. We had a blast celebrating our big Isaiah's 6th birthday. We started with birthday pancakes and gifts at 6:30 in the morning, and then we partied all day.
Our boy didn't want a big party. He just wanted to take a cake to school to share with his friends. So that's what we did. He loves his school so much! He has lots of great buddies and amazing teachers who have been so patient in teaching our American boy Bulgarian. We're super thankful!
We had just a few friends over to love on our boy and eat some nerf gun cupcakes.
My quick attempt at a nerf gun cupcake cake.
We LOVE our SIX year old SO much!!!
As we were praying over this guy last night before bed. I was reflecting on all he's seen and done in his 6 years. In 6 years, he's lived on 3 different continents and has been on all kinds of travel adventures. He doesn't know life any other way, and he just takes it all in stride. He's our kid who loves to make others laugh and who has the greatest, most contagious belly laugh ever. He's my cuddly, sweet boy who is so kind, energetic and fun. He loves golf, video games, and all things sugar. We're so thankful to have this awesome kid in our lives.
Our greatest desire and prayer for him is to grow in the knowledge and love for his Creator and Sustainer. We pray that he will know how loved he is by us but mostly by our great God who loves him with an everlasting love! We pray that he will grow into a man who uses all of his gifts and talents for the glory of our great King. We pray that he will be a man of integrity and compassion who loves passionately and obeys the Lord with reckless abandon. We pray that he will love God with all that he is, that he will abide in God and God in Him and that his joy will be full.
Happy Birthday, sweet Isaiah. We LOVE you so very much!!!
