With Delight

"Let us not forget that any relationship whatever between God and man rests today on the fact that God lived the life of a common man-was born in a stable, sweated in a carpenter's shop, preached from a little fishing boat, sat down tired beside a well and conversed with a courtesan, ate and drank and walked with ordinary men, and submitted to an ignoble death--in order that we could recognize Him. Nobody called Him a hero or a martyr. He was simply doing what His Father told Him to do, and doing it with delight."
--Jim Elliott

"As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love... These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."
-- Jesus Christ; John 15:9, 11

"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."
--Paul; Colossians 2:6-7

"Behold, the maidservant of the Lord. Let it be unto me according to your word."
--Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ; Luke 1:38
